Commercial
Paul can currently be seen as the goofy and romantic dad in a series of commercials and webisodes for Western Pest Services. This year he also has played the principal role of the hapless office sad-sack in a commercial for Regus Offices.
Paul is renowned for wide variety of voice-over work. Recent character work includes the snarky British host of a travel show pilot, the narrator of a noir-style commercial for broadcast in the US and UK, as well as Italian, French, German, Russian, and Dutch characters in documentaries, video games, and audio books. He is the voice of a demented hangman in a theme park in Iowa.
Non-character work includes national and regional commercials, including Chloraseptic and Bay Resorts, and the role of The Projectionist in a song by the band Blood Ruby.
Opera
In his opera career from 1992 to 2005, he sang over 50 roles across the US, the Caribbean, and Europe. He performed the title characters in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, and gave a solo concert at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. Paul sang the lead role Gabriel in the world premiere of The Dead, based on the James Joyce story, and Horace Tabor in The Ballad of Baby Doe's 40th Anniversary Production, in the house for which it was written—Central City Opera.
